The client wanted to pursuade the local planning board of potential other uses for the space instead of just building houses. The project includes a proposal for a local park that would protect open space in the community, creating a gathering place, help restore biodiversity, and allow for local children to come and play in nature. There are a few wildlife corridors proposed that would connect the South Downs National Park to the Chichester harbor, an Area of Natural Beauty and an SSSI site. The idea is to create a community hub with walking trails and a community center for educational programs.
