Client Brief
The clients wanted to create an inviting oasis where they could relax, entertain, and play with their children. This was a new build so the site was completely devoid of any landscaping. With its southeast orientation, this site will get a lot of sun, especially early in the day. A pergola will help provide shade in one of the seating areas.
A natural play trail of stumps meanders through the plantings. Four raised garden beds provide space for the family to grow herbs and vegetables. A water play feature for the children is included along the northern fence. A sitting area with a firepit provides an area for guests to gather near the grill. Plant selection focused on drought tolerant perennials with a mix of vibrant colors.
